Health Kits for Haiti
St. Andrew’s is Collecting Health Kits for Haiti
Health kits are desperately needed in Haiti. We will be making Health Kits through Easter Day, April 4. Money donations for Haiti are welcome as well. Make checks out to the church and put “Haiti” in the memo line.
Here’s how to make a health kit. Remember, everything must be new:
- Take one new hand towel (Dollar General has 2 for $5)—no kitchen towels
- Put onto that towel:
1 full sized comb (no rattails)
6 regular sized band aids
1 bar of soap (3.2 ounces or larger)
1 toothbrush in original packaging
1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards)
1 washcloth (Dollar General has 18 for $4)
- Wrap everything in the hand towel.
- Place the package into a one gallon zip bag.
- Include $1 for toothpaste and $1 for shipping.
- Bring it to the office or the narthex
It will then go to Haiti to carry the message that someone does care about what is happening to them.
NOTE: Do not put anything extra into the kits. They must be as close to identical as possible. Thank you for helping!
